Recent problems viewing my television, and a postcard from 800 outlining problems with bad reception,
has led me to your site being unable to get thru to 800.I have done checks and retunes without success
also does my internet come under this interference, because I get cut off from the internet for brief periods at night?

Brian Thornton: Put your postcode into this site - it will bring up a load of links, including DigitalUK, etc. Tv reception, 4G problems etc are all very reliant on location. You can then see if you do actually have a 4G problem, but I suspect 'bad reception' probably due to other factors.
And no, your broadband has nothing at all to do with your TV reception.

Hello. I have successfully been receiving Freeview from Winter hill transmitter for the last few years. My location is SK131PY (Hadfield). Recently I have lost all channels on COM4 (C58) on some of the TV's in my house...but not all!
As I am still receiving COM5(C49) and COM6(C55) ok on these TV's, am I right in assuming my aerial
has not moved and cables etc are all good, or am I missing something obvious? Any help appreciated.

Martin: Check the cabling is a good start. A dodgy cable might hit one mux more than the others - compare the signal strength of all of them - if they are all on the low side, then the cable is the likely party - but might be no more than the fly lead.

Can the current reception problem ( eg Winter Hill transmitter - Possible weak signal) be resolved?
My HD picture freezes frequently such that the programmes cannot be watched and shows "weak signal".
I am in SY5 0LZ - at the edge of the Winter Hill coverage. I carry out the above recommended checks.

John G:
you will need to wait until the engineering work has been completed, no date/time is given for that as yet.
Only once the work is finished should you recheck your reception. DO NOT retune your TV whilst the work is being done.
