I live in Hinckley LE10 1AJ. Which is on the western edge of Leicestershire & NE Warwickshire. The tv we get is from the West Midlands transmitter. Is there a way that I can receive East Midlands news etc as that is of more interest to us?

Recent changes to the transmission format and frequencies for some Freeview channels has made them unreceivable by older TV's since they are transmitted in T2 format (old being 5 / 6 years of age or more).
If your TV does not have a compatible Freeview tuner that wil handle both T1 & T2 transmission formats then certain channels will now be unavailable. To solve the problem you could use a T1 / T2 compible Freeview digi-box or replace the TV with one that is T1/T2 compliant.

Peter : You might be able to get the Waltham transmitter which carries BBC/ITV East Midlands news, however by the time frequency changes are completed next year it won't provide a good signal, according to the Digital UK checker. You can watch BBC news from any region on iPlayer, or look at getting Freesat.
