Our reception has also been very questionable since around 9 to 10 pm yesterday (23 Sept). Not only is it the freeview channels but also the DAB radio as well. Could someone please clarify what is going on? Oswestry

Roy, The problem in Oswestry is widespread and has hit many people. I have retuned my TV and recorder and all seem at the moment to be in order. It seems that changes have been made to some multiplexed channels. For some while we have had grey boxes asking us to retune for new channels but no warning of these problems. As a pretty savvy silver surfer it's not too much of a problem for me but there are many very elderly folk presently staring at blank or pixellated screens.

Due to high pressure weather creating a condition called Sporadic E. This causes distant transmitters to interfere with local ones.

Reception signal problems this past week have been due to atmospheric conditions caused by a "High" and unusual weather conditions for time of year. Spoke to BBC Engineers who have confirmed this.
