I live in Braintree and have lost my Freeview sky sports channels on my BT Vision box - they were great after the change in July but now gone. Done plenty of re-tuning, switching things off etc but nothing. Looks like I will have to cancel my subscription as no point in paying for something you cannot get!!! How can they say that nothing is wrong???

Viz-a-viz reception problems, particularly with channel 63. I've been through this at length with Digital uk to no avail as well as taking it up with BBC East after their Tacolneston switch-over report.
The high freqency and low transmission strength is obviously a problem but nobody, including my useless local MP could care less.
I can only suggest that people should keep complaining to their local media outlets.
If nobody complains, nothing will be done.

Like David Poperwell we have had bad experiences with the Sudbury Transmitter over the last tow weekends including today as I write this comment. I had a new digital arial installed and purchased a new television expecting excellent reception. Instead we are getting very annoyed at having to reset the channels multiple times. Can somebody sort out this mess or go back to annalogue

This is a post I just made to the other Sudbury switch-over thread at Sudbury Arqiva multiplex B changes 16 November - retune required | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice hopefully it will help others with their problems.
[Solved] Peeps following this thread will have seen I'm in the middle of Sudbury and lost ArqB at the Tacolneston switchover the same as many thousands of others, on one of my aerials - the outdoor chimney-mounted wideband.
It made no difference using a booster or an attenuator which made me think the signal is just too weak to be useful, the best I could get was 34% signal strength with 10% quality.
The other loft-mounted Maplin 43 element wideband was always fine with it's mast-head amp and 6-way booster.
So, I replaced the chimney aerial with another Maplin 43 element one, also in the loft. Tried with just connecting the new PF100 cable but still had problems. Connected the laptop with TSReaderLite and an Hauppauge HVR-900 USB DVB-T stick in the loft and got excellent signal on channel 63.
The reality of this was that the signal is actually very good at the aerial, but is total carp at 20 yards! Ordered another mast-head amp (variable 15-27dB) from Ebay for £6.59 delivered, attached it to the new aerial, enabled antenna power on the Humax 9200T and all muxes are now 80-90% signal strength and 100% quality. This was with the amp set to mid-strength - its working well so I'm not going back into the loft again to lower or fiddle with it!
So, if you're struggling to get Yesterday, Film4, ITV4, Viva or others on ArqB I'd suggest you try a mast-head amp.

Dave Lindsay: At which time I'll just disable antenna power. Being 3 miles from the mast, I shouldn't have needed to do it in the first place.
Kevin Hodges: All should be up to 100KW next June, we're just being fobbed off with a paltry 2.2KW for some channels now until June 27th

Thanks Aaron, It's strange that some of you guys are having these problems, I'm in CM2 (which actually shows as outside the best reception on the map above) and receive all Mux's via a loft aerial. Just hope I don't regret saying that!

Further to my previous posts re lack of my beloved film 4 - i got back to my original aerial installer and he has fitted a booster which has restored my missing channel(s) (several progs which i enjoy) At the risk of being labelled a spammer (which i'm not)His name is Simon at Alpha Aerials 07766544616
