Nic Foxton: Have you had a look at Single frequency interference | Freeview Interference | ukfree.tv - 10 years of independent, free digital TV advice regarding C39?
It could be something putting out an analogue RF signal on (or even near) C39.

Hmm... getting no analogue around here at all, never mind 39 Briantist. Don't fancy climbing up there to replace the aerial as the majority of channels work, it's just the stuff on 39 that is "iffy" and last time I was up on the roof I came back white ;)
I've invested in Netflix now and will just have to make do with what I get on terrestrial even though I pay full license fee for reduced service. But thanks to this page I have improved things.

My postcode is BD23 2QJ. My freeview box is saying no signal on all channels and had been like this for nearly 30 min. I have checked all connections and re tuned but still nothing. Is there a problem with the transmitter please? Thanks

Mike C: I don't know why I bother to pay my tv licence! When the it does work, all the BBC channels are crappy reception. Lets hope they get it sorted before a week.

Kim Wilman: Have you confirmed that BBC channels are being received from the transmitter to which your aerial faces rather than another one?
The signal strength screen should tell you which UHF channel (frequency) it is tuned to. Skipton transmitter at East Marton is on C39 and Skipton Town, situated at Greatwood is C24, these channels applying for BBC standard definition services (and BBC radio) only.
It may be that your aerial points westwards to Skipton but that Skipton Town is tuned, perhaps because it is found first during the scan. If so then have the aerial out for the first 30% of the scan.
