coach: Just because your getting breakup, dont assume its 'weak signal'. Actually check your signal strength. My manhattan HD box is getting a little bit of breakup on BBC2 HD - when I check, the signal strength is at 80%, thats causing the breakup. Its only just reaching that point once or twice, but its enough. Thats on Waltham, but you might be getting the same problem.

Dexter: I have no idea, since this thread is about a terrestial transmitter, and therefore I thought you were talking about the Freeview HD box....

Dexter:

Not knowing the box you have, but having used several different ones over the years, does your User Manual tell you anything about putting in a code to match your TV so that the remote can operate some of the TV functions?

I use an LG TV and a Sky HD box and the Sky remote takes the code given in the manual (there are several given for different TVs) to let me control some functiopns on the TV and the Sky box.

Note that even a 'universal' remote control needs to be set up to operate your particular equipment - there are no internationally agreed codings across all manufacturers so each remote has to be set up first.

I cannot get sky news etc on multiplex ch.52 after doing a retune doing the reset procedure. Even tried a manual retune and it shows no channels at all. Is there a problem out of Sandy Heath?

Hi I have free view through a Sony box and have suddenly lost channels over the last few days. I had 151 channels and this has gone down to 34 after retuning. Aerial is outside facing sandy Heath. Read on one website weak signal for sandy Heath, do you know if this is correct, and if so when strength will return

Alex: You've retuned - so check that your actually tuned into Sandy heath, not Waltham or somewhere else (Sony's can be a bit sensitive). Then check your aerial lead - is it loose? And then check your aerial system, because if your losing channels, thats probably where the problem lies.

My reception on the mux carrying BBC1 HD channel has been up and down like a yo yo for two weeks. Other channels are fine. I assume it must be linked to the reduced power message. Lost the same channels last time Sandy Heath status was "possible reduced power"
