My signal has always been strong from a loft aerial. My neighbour has a roof aerial. In the last two days, we are both having trouble with getting a steady signal. It has to be a fault between the station and our village. My picture is still breaking up badly and I keep getting the no signal box. The speech is not understandable. This morning the picture looked like a worn Turkish carpet. Tonight, the picture is recognizable when it is not cracking up or disappearing. The freeview programmes are not registering at all.

I'd like to report a problem with the transmitter as at the moment I'm getting no signal at all on most channels and too poor for a signal on the rest even the programme guide is down.

I have a TV Aerial on my roof and a TV with inbuilt Freeview. I want to receive Freeview Channels 10 and 12 (Com6 and Com4).

What do I need to do in order to receive these channels? My Sony DVD Player also is not working? Is that because there is no digtal signal?

Anne Renshaw: Truro is a bit hilly, so has its own "fill in" TV relay to provide reception to low lying spots that otherwise would struggle to get a signal from the Redruth Tx.
As you've found, it doesn't transmit the SDN, ArqA and ArqB MUXs.
The relay is on the hill above Truro School, so your aerial is probably pointing in that direction (roughly SE), with vertical polarisation.
Redruth is roughly SW from Truro, and has horizontal polarisation, but reception from there would depend very much on your exact location (generally low = bad & high = good) - chances are you'll need a new aerial.

DVD player not working has nothing to do with digital reception. Is the player "dead", or does it just not seem to connect to the TV (having selected the appropriate input on the TV's remote)?
