angela : In the early hours, the frequency that BBC standard definition services broadcast on from Mendip changed. This is part of the clearance of frequencies for use by 4G mobile services. You will need to carry out a retune.

bruce: That's it for the retunes at Mendip until 2019. Probably.
Mendip did have more than it's fair share of them.

Did I dream it or were we told when Freeview first arrived that it would be a once and for all tune. No mention then that we would have to re-tune for new channels AND mobile phone networks. I have now lost count of the number of times we have had to re-tune and all the hassle of re-programming the PVR each time.
So much for technology. As we sit on the boundary between Mendip and Wenvoe absolutely no chance of an easy automatic tune. Rant over (until the next time).

Richard James: But clearly once the powers that be had one retune, it became a bit like an itch that has to be scratched.
You may be able to miss out Wenvoe by having the aerial unplugged for the first 55% of the scan. If you have the aerial out too long, you may miss out BBC from Mendip which a manual tune on C49 should sort.

I've just had to retune my television and a number of channels have disappeared. How can get them back.

Chris Gilburt: If you're looking for an answer then which channels are they? Are you receiving directly from Mendip? If not, which transmitter are you receiving from? Are you using an communal aerial system?

A notice kept coming up on the screen saying that I must retune my television on the 27-3-13.
I have now done this and a number of programs
have disappeared such as 5* and 5USA. How can I get back.
Thanks.

My Sony TV and boxes don't have manual tuning so I have to mess around 4 times. Now a message the screen to say a re-tune may be needed on the 10th of April.
