It's possibly the Tropospheric Propagation/Temperature Inversion due to current weather conditions Effect of tropospheric ducting on Freeview | Help receiving TV and radio which is resulting in from distant transmitters. As you have retuned you may have picked up signals from a distant and have to retune again as conditions change.

I have problems with the Sony on with a weak . My almost new Panasonic TV shows the signal strength in the low 20%. Shows up as 30 - 546 MHZ I have done several retunes with no improvement. All other channels show up in the high 90% to 100% signal strength range. I have a brand new on the .

Roger Hatherall: Sony and Sony Movies Classic are broadcast on the , which is broadcast from but only directionally towards Bristol and is not predicted to be available at your postcode, so you are actually doing well to get anything from it at all. Retuning will not as you already have the tuned (retuning just deletes your and searches for everything again, which will never fix a weak ).

I wish to use a normal modulator with a recorder on my system. What can I set the modulator to so that it doesn't interfere with the present transmitted ?

You can a free , but as you may know it's best to avoid channels where an adjacent channel or C+5 or C+9 might interfere. Personally I would pick a high channel well above C56 - as high as you like! Another thing to watch is that your modulator isn't too strong and doesn't desensitise your tuner's front end. If it's not adjustable and you have a problem then perhaps try a variable attenuator.

Can anybody? First of all my postcode SN15 3EF. I have a year old Hisense H50U7A (not a bad as long as it's watched square on) and I would like to receive Sony "Classic" movie . I can get all other except that one. It supposed to be on channel 50. I have retuned several times usually a month or two apart.
