Our aerial is on the roof
Since you changed the frequency and I retuned my tv we have had nothing but bad reception and now have had to have an engineer in to add a booster box as the reception from Heathfield was so weak that it was breaking up on most of the channels , before you changed we had very little problem.
This cost us 144.

Wiles: No one from this website is involved in deciding or implementing any transmitter changes. Did you contact the Freeview Advice Line after finding you had problems with reception? They would have arranged a replacement wideband aerial free of charge if required (before you ask, no they won't reimburse your 144).

Tracey Mitchell-Cobb:
Retuning was the wrong thing to do, it will never restore lost channels. As you have not given a full post code we have no idea where you are nor which of the over 1100 transmitters you are receiving from.
It is highly likely that you have a fault in your aerial system. Please check all the connections carefully and ensure that any active splitter is working properly.

MayD:
please follow the advice given in the text above the entry box and provide a full post code. Without that we cannot see what the poredicted reception is like at your location.
Please also check all your aerial cables and connections. If there are coaxial plugs/sockets please unplug those and then refit. That will clear any corrosion/oxidation from the contacts which as a well known cause of problems such as you report.
