PeterH: the thing is, Divis is now totally wideband so fitting a diplexer will cut off channels on the Divis side so pointless. To future proof I would say,
Two wideband aerials, a wideband mast amp for rte if required then into an inductive splitter/combiner However a WB mast amp will boost everything so an attenuater may be needed on the Divis side.
A 4g filter maybe required as well (mast amp should be filtered).
That's what I have came up with to cover all changes.

Have lost freesport(64) and forcestv(96) from my Freeview hd sharp and Sony tvs. have retuned several times but they are still missing. can you suggest a solution. i live in lurgan Co armagh ni thank you

Are you getting any of the other channels on the COM8 multiplex? See - Digital UK | Channel listings
It may be that since the frequency changes with COMs 7&8 at somewhat lower power than the others (and due to be reduced further in Q1 2020), that you may no longer be able to receive them.
To check for Freeview predicted reception use the coverage checker Digital UK - Coverage checker if you have a UK postcode.
Note also that they are temporary multiplexes and are due to close sometime before 2022. See Digital UK | 700MHz clearance for general information.

I hope I'm not speaking out of turn or breaking some site etiquette as I've never posted here before, go easy on me :-)
I have lost some channels after the Wed 4th Sept. re-tune. It appears I have lost all the channels on Multiplex com 7 and multiplex com 8. These were previously fine before the re-tune.
I live in Bangor NI, and I'm using a BT YouView+ box, model:DTR-T2110
Can someone explain to me why this has happened and what I can do about it?
Are com7 and com8 still being broadcast? I read on ukfree.tv that these are due to expire on 21st June 2020. Has this been brought forward?
Have their transmission frequencies and/or power output been changed? would an aerial upgrade solve this?

Ian.JH: Lilley to be one of two things, if you have rte the diplxer box will cause it. If not your Freeview aerial now needs to be wideband. Or could be both.

It is correct that you'd need a Wideband/Group T aerial as mentioned by Carl Reade, however as I mentioned in my previous post on this page which he may have missed, COMs 7&8 are on much lower power.
Unless you happened to be very close to the transmitter, an old group A aerial is unlikley to pick up the signal.
However, check the Freeview predicted reception at your location by putting your postcode into the coverage checker Digital UK - Coverage checker . If there's no predicted reception from Divis, you may consider it a waste changing your aerial. Obviously you need to check you don''t have any diplexers etc that might affect the signal.
COMs 7&8 are due to close by sometime in 2022, it will depend on 5G take up by the Mobile operators and will not necessarily be at the same time for all areas.

CARL READE: Nothing has been announced yet as to whether any of the broadcasters will move any of their channels on COM7/8 to another multiplex. If more muxes convert to DVB-T2 there would be space for all of them to move and gain more coverage, although this would come at an increased cost to the broadcasters, which not all may be willing or able to afford.
