Malcolm Landon: I can't see that to be honest, the NIT clearly has to have the right information in it or Freeview boxes would not work.

Suggestion: software bug.

I totally agree it's not the transmission that's wrong. It's got to be a bug in the software of the PVR, or even the driver for the Freeview card. But it's definitely happening. I only managed to resolve it because someone reported the same issue with a similar setup after the Mendip's transmitters switch over.

Malcolm Landon: It can't see it being a bug in the driver.

Since switchover on 20/4 the channels on the Arqiva B multiplex are transmitting on frequency 578.165 mhz according to my Sony TV. The Arqiva B multi should transmit at 682.0 mhz from Bromsgrove. This is the only multi on less than full power. I have one multiplex (PSB2) which contains ITV and channels 4 and 5 etc. duplicated on channels 800 onwards. These are transmitting at 505.999 mhz and are unwanted signals from Ridge Hill. However I do not have duplicated channels for the Arqiver B mux. Which transmitter has my TV picked up the signals for mux ArqB from and is there anything I can do to get the correct frequencies?

frank allen: Mux ArqB does not transmit on 682.0MHz until 28th September 2011. This is because the frequency is used by Sutton Coldfield until switchover takes place. The frequency you currently have is temporary until switchover is completed.According to the Digital UK postcode checker you are not expected to receive the COM muxes from Bromsgrove before September, after which the reception is shown as variable. Ridge Hill offers a full service on all six muxes but requires the aerial to be set for horizontal polarisation.

since the second part of the changeover I have various additional copies of ITV channels in the 300 range of numbers on one set, on two other sets they are in the 800 range and on the last there are no additional channels.
Before changeover all the sets could be heard in sync. Now if I am watching More4 on channel 14 on two sets they are out of sync but if I change one set with extra channels to More4 on channel 313 they are in sync.

on further investigation some sets are using UHF channel 23 and others UHF channel 25 for the ITV channels ,ITV1,CH4,CH5,ITV2,CH4+1,More4,E3,ITV1+1

It appears UHF channel 26 is duplicated out of sync with UHF channel 28.

I also get the ITV channels come up on UHF channel 41 and go into the digital 800 range of channels

mike fisher: The signals on C25 and C28 are from Ridge Hill.If possible do a manual tune on the set of frequencies you wish to store after first clearing the channel list by doing a factory reset. Note that if you wish to receive signals from Bromsgrove the aerial should be set for vertical polarisation. Ridge Hill, The Wrekin and Sutton Coldfield all use horizontal polarisation.
