Hi my aerial is on the roof pointing at beecroft hill will I get full freeview content including dave and dave ja vu after digital switchover, or would I be better getting freesat

Kevin: Beecroft Hill will only transmit the public service channels. If you want all of the Freeview channels, you will need, at switchover, to point an aerial to Emley Moor.
Dave is not carried on Freesat, see Compare Freeview Light and Freesat TV | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .
Dave Ja Vue was replaced by Really on Freeview.

my postcode is LS13 4DT I can recieve digital signals from Emley Moor but picture breaks up quite a lot and some channels cannot be recieved. I have a line of sight though to Beecroft Hill Transmitter and my Roof Aerial is currently pointing to that would it be best to wait and see what happens with switchover and hopefully get a better signal or get a Bigger Aerial and point it towards Emley Moor as i have read that Beecroft hill wont have as many Channels after Switchover as Emley Moor Does.

Chris: Yes, you can either go with Beecroft Hill, but only get half of the services, or go the whole hog and point an aerial toward Emley Moor to get everything.
I would certainly get your aerial and cables checked as you are in an excellent reception area even before switchover.

Now that Beecroft Hill has converted to digital, is there a chance that there will be more channells from this transmtter in the future eg 5* etc.

Mr John Clark: Very little chance of the COM multiplexes being added. The owners of the muxes do not consider that it would be cost effective to extend coverage to relay sites. In the case of Beecroft Hill, even though it covers 21,000 homes, many of these are also served by Emley Moor and/or Belmont if extra channels are required, plus many of the viewers have satellite or cable tv.
