Droitwich (Worcestershire, England) analogue radio transmitter

UK Free TV shows the coverage area for a radio transmitter as a coloured overlay (orange for FM, other colours for DAB) on the grey map. We have computed the coverage by combining the terrain with the official radiation pattern. A single click will select the transmitter to view the coverage for a single site, and a double click goes to a page showing full details. Click on the buttons in the right-hand corner of the map to choose from different frequencies (or multiplexes for DAB).
Are there any planned engineering works or unexpected transmitter faults on the Droitwich (Worcestershire, England) mast?

There is now mention on your site of BBC radio 4 from Droitwich. One of the most powerfull transmitters in the country and your site does`nt mention it anywhere.

I am trying to find the original service area maps of radio one and three when they occupied 1215 mw - your maps show massive areas covered by each tx - not sure why as the network did not cover the whole of the UK. Do you know where the maps can be obtained please or a website they are on?
Thanks
Peter

Peter: Have a look at www.mb21.co.uk
It appears to be down at the moment, but the Transmitter Gallery has BBC coverage maps for UHF and BBC Local Radio. I've not noticed that there are the maps you are looking for, but you may find them.

hi brian
BBC radio 4 on 198 LW from droitwich is not listed on your website. the most powerfull ampliphase transmitter in the country is still functioning normally at 500KW but unfortunately it is not on your map or in the list of Radio 4s transmitters. i have searched for it but it is not there.

The Radio 4 signal on 198 seems to have deteriorated recently. Speech is very sibilant. Is there a problem with it?

Since beginning this year I cannot receive radio BBC4 on 198 kHz here in Holland, I dearly miss it. What has happened?
