On page Freeview on Crystal Palace TV transmitter | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice (Crystal Palace) under "Transmission Frequencies" I see that C23 is listed in all three date ranges, and yet it does not appear in the main list of multiplexes. Is this a mistake, and if not, can you say what programs it carries ?

One of my TVs has auto-tuned channels from CrystalPalace, Oxford, and Sandy. I know this because I have both BBC One and ITV1 from London, Central, and Eastern. My two aerials have been targeting CP and Oxford analogue very successfully for many years unchanged. Contrary to coverage predictions, my newest TV has been receiving the four HD programs no problem for 3 months (we watched the Wimbledon 3D no problem) but now they have disappeared (zero signal on C31). I see it is marked "Low Power", but so are C22 and C32 which show 100%. Do you know what has changed ?

Oh yes, and CP C34 and C29 both listed as Max power have zero signal strength while C25 is 100% (all CP). Therefore I cannot receive Mux C or D.

Briantist: My postcode is LU6 1RF, but we are shielded from Sandy by a local hill (there is some break through since they turned the wick up), and I have good multi-element aerials aimed at CP and Oxford which (surprisingly for CP) come in quite strongly (I had to attenuate the Oxford signal in analogue days to balance it with the CP signal).

Briantist: OK, I accept the possibility that Sandy C31 is interfering with CP C31, but that does not account for the loss of Mux C & D. I do not have a Sandy aerial, but there is a weak signal from there on my CP aerial on C27 only. (CP and Sandy are 120 deg apart here, with Sandy masked by high ground).

I have now carried out a signal strength check on all channels 21-69, in three aerial setups: CP only, OX only, and both connected. There is absolutely no difference between these three cases. Here is the result:

C21=zero, C22=max, C24=zero, C25=max, C27=30%, C28=max, C29=zero, C31=zero, C32=max, C34=zero, C48=zero, C51=max, C52=max, C53=max, C67=zero, C68=max.

As you can see, I am missing Mux C, D, and BBCB. Can you suggest any reasons ? Many thanks.

I have a 28 element group A aerial aimed at CP, but am suffering from unwanted signals from SH. The angle between CP and SH is 112 deg at my location. Do you know of any way of shielding my aerial from these emissions, or indeed any way of mitigating the problem ?

Yes, I was referring to the channel 31 problem, although I am also missing Mux C and Mux D. I have looked at the signal strength of every channel with only one of my two aerials connected, so I am sure Mux D absence is not due to OX C29. The absence of Mux C cannot even be blamed on digital overlap, I cannot get either from OX or CP individually.

What is a "stacked array".

Thanks for the links !! I have now made a chart of all the channels and changes which seems to show that most if not all conflicts will be resolved on 28th Sep 2011, so I will keep ny fingers crossed until then.

Martin:Your CP C31 may be blocked by Oxford SDN on C31.This stops on Wednesday. I am waiting for this too.

This may be a bit off-topic, but do you know if there is anything strange about program 10 (ITV3) in the MuxA (or SDN) transmission ? One of my TVs (Tosh 19W330DB) adds all the MuxA programs to its list, but shows the previous program when 10 is selected. Two other TV sets work OK.
