Where I live (due east of Bluebell Hill) the worst TV reception is in the summer, at sunset, when the Sun is brightest and directly *behind* the transmitter! It causes a complete loss of signal, and is clearly due to interference with the TV signal and radiation from the Sun. It just swamps the TV signal.
