Peter Cook- Is your equipment a Humax box by any chance? If so, there seems to be an issue at the moment with these boxes. I will post further as soon as any further info comes my way.

Samantha- Plug a scart into the tv socket of the Virgin box and the other end into AV1 of the TV.

Use a second scart and plug into the tv socket of the Humax box and the other end into AV2 of the TV.

Connect a third scart lead into the vcr socket of the virgin box and plug the other end into AV1 of the dvd/vcr combi.

Simply select AV1 on the combi and you can then record from the virgin box. If the combi has a tv/vcr button, use this to switch between the combi and the virgin box.

If the Humax box has RF output, select a spare channel for this unit. Plug the aerial lead into the Humax box, then using an RF lead plug into the combi and so on. Simply select a spare channel,eg pr6 on the vcr/dvd combi and tune in to pick up the Humax box.

Depending on the model of the Humax box, you may only be able to record from the inbuilt tuner and not from an external device.

Hope this helps.

Syd Wall- When tuning the equipment, it should show the channel number(frequency) for each MUX. Simply note the numbers and compare with each transmitter.

dennis- You may have the remote set to TV mode. Try pressing the Sky button; If OK, try powering off the Sky-box for 30 seconds.

lee- If your aerial is pointing toward Nottingham transmitter, then it would appear to be the case.

Chris- If you have not tried already, use the 'Default setting' scan instead of a simple auto-tune.

Hope this works.

JiMi- You do not state if you received the digital channels previously. Input your postcode at the top of the page, to find out where you receive the signal from.

david- The frequency of the new box may differ from the old one,(they default to ch68).

The easiest way is to get a third party to observe one of the TV's in question and keep changing the RF output of the new box until a picture is obtained on the second TV.
