The problem could be one of:

- the aerial has been moved or damaged;

- the cables or connectors that connect the digibox to the aerial are damaged;

- the digibox has broken.

If you have a "spare" digibox you use this to test the aerial connection. Can you still watch analogue TV OK?

Keith Davies: After checking the William Hepburn's tropospheric ducting forecast for Northern Europe it would appear that your reception could be affected by out of area signals travelling further than normal, resulting in interference to your normal services. Rumster Forest and Rosemarkie both use frequencies received from Craigkelly and reception of transmissions from Norway is another possibility. In the event that alternative signals were present when you retuned you could have replaced your normal channels with a selection that don't work. (All DTT from Norway is MPEG4, so would need a Freeview HD tuner to decode it if it was receivable at your location) When conditions return to normal you would then need to carry out another retune to restore the correct channel list.

Hello, I am in Kirby Cross, Frinton-on-Sea, Essex and I get my signal from either Clacton or Sudbury. At about 9pm on Sunday 5th June 2016 my picture on BBC1 started to break up followed by other channels. I have retuned and all stations from 1 to 10 have disappeared from the listing and cannot get a picture. 10 mins later the rest disappeared and whilst we can get some channels they keep breaking up. Cannot find anything wrong with connections on aerial, T.V cables etc. Nothing reported on any of the sites, although I do see that Clacton was supposed to be out this morning between 02.44 and 02.54.

My signal in Willington has been on & off all evening now there is no signal. I have checked leads & tuner & all appear to be ok.

Clive Doloughan: Don't panic! We have the same problem here, just south of Peterborough. Sandy Heath signal strength is very poor tonight. Probably just atmospherics.

These problems are almost certainly due to the warm weather. It is a natural and well known phenomenon so a little patience is warranted. Do *not* retune your TV equipment.

I have 5 TV sets around the home, all were working via my aerial. The main set also has Sky. All TV's have free sat built in. For the past week I have been unable to get BBC1, BBC2, BBC news on 3 of the sets. I can get these on my main set via Sky at the moment ,however trees are my problem with Sky, cannot get the dish any higher. So I have to revert to my aerial which points to the Bromsgrove Transmitter. I have tried to retune with no success. Digital UK say there are problems with the Bromsgrove Transmitter, according to the internet there are no problems. Any suggestions?

Mike: I live in LE1 2AU . woke up to no signal at all, ran auto tune and no channel is available. Last night it was working fine. No idea wot the problem could be.

Mike: Hi Mike. There are no issues or engineering work specifically associated with the Bromsgrove transmitter at present. I wonder if you are suffering from the same problem that has been affecting thousands of viewers since Sunday evening which is co-channel interference due to high atmospheric pressure? This can have the effect of making your Freeview equipment 'think' that there is no signal and cause it to display a 'No signal' message on the screen. Assuming that you have checked all of the obvious things like aerial lead connections, etc., all you can do is to wait until lower pressure atmospheric conditions prevail again. If I were you, I would keep a regular check on the weather forecast in the newspaper or online if you're also experiencing radio interference, so you can gain some idea as to when you can watch Freeview from Bromsgrove again satisfactorily. I gather that in general, Bromsgrove has been a pretty good transmitter, although it's a pity it doesn't carry multiplex COM 7 which has extra HD channels on it. All the best, Richard, Norwich.

The Turtle: Good morning to The Turtle. I am assuming you are using the Waltham transmitter going by your postcode. There are no planned engineering works for Waltham today and so I imagine your equipment is suffering from the high atmospheric pressure conditions that have been plaguing thousands of viewers since Sunday evening. You'll be able to pick up all your usual channels once we are under the influence of lower pressure conditions, hopefully later in the week. Richard, Norwich. PS I assume you have checked all of the obvious things, like aerial lead and plug connections, etc. Also, ask your neighbours if they have the same problem, as that would then eliminate your equipment from the enquiry!
